Every coin we sell is unique and irreplaceable — shipping reflects that. We ship to the continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii. Orders go out within two business days of payment clearing.
Rates
- Under $100 — $5 USPS First-Class. For small-dollar coins where Registered Mail would cost more than the coin is worth.
- $100 to $2,500 — $15 USPS Priority, insured. Priority with declared value, tracking, and insurance. Arrives in 2-4 business days.
- $2,500 and up — free USPS Registered Mail, fully insured. Every touchpoint is tracked, locked, and signed for. Slower — typically one to two weeks coast to coast — but the only shipping method we trust with the truly expensive coins.
- Local pickup — free. In and around Conifer, Colorado. Choose it at checkout and we'll email you to arrange a time and place.
Why Registered Mail only for the expensive coins
Registered Mail is slower because it's physically handled differently — every handoff is logged, every vehicle it rides in is locked, and the insurance tracks declared value up to $50,000 per shipment. That chain of custody is worth a week of waiting on a four-figure coin, and honestly unnecessary below that: insured Priority gets your coin to you in a few days with tracking and declared-value coverage, which is why mid-range orders ride Priority instead of making everyone wait.
International
We don't currently ship outside the United States. Customs and duty-handling on rare coins is a category of complexity we're not set up for — we'd rather not ship a coin than ship it and watch it get stuck in a foreign customs warehouse for six weeks.
Address accuracy + signature
Every shipment requires signature confirmation. Please use a shipping address where an adult is present during business hours — typically that means a home rather than an office lobby or apartment drop box. If USPS can't deliver, the package holds at your local post office for 15 days before returning to us, and we'll need to charge shipping a second time to resend.
