Liberty Nickels

The Liberty nickel (1883–1912) is a classic late-19th-century type coin, available in well-worn examples for a modest premium and Mint State gems for the advanced collector. The 1885 and 1886 are the series keys. The legendary 1913 Liberty nickel (five known) was struck clandestinely and stands among the most famous American rarities — a grail piece.
