Walking Liberty Half Dollars

Adolph Weinman's Walking Liberty half dollar (1916–1947) is considered by many to be the most beautiful coin ever struck by the United States Mint. The same Liberty design inspired John Mercanti's American Silver Eagle, still in production today. Early-date San Francisco issues and the 1921 are the key dates; near-gem and gem examples of any date are genuinely beautiful objects.
